Terms of Service – RCC Sentinel

            Plain English summary: Use RCC Sentinel only on servers you own or have explicit permission to monitor. Do not use it for illegal purposes. We built this in good faith and provide it as-is. We are not liable for issues arising from its use. If you disagree with these terms, please do not use the service.
        

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the RCC Sentinel platform — including the web dashboard, Windows agent, installer scripts, and any related documentation — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the platform.

These terms apply to all users of the service, including visitors and registered account holders.

2. Description of Service

RCC Sentinel is a cloud-based server monitoring platform consisting of:

A central secure web dashboard console
A Windows Server agent (PowerShell script, monitor_agent.ps1)
An automated installer (install.ps1) and uninstaller (uninstall.ps1)
A public documentation and information website

The platform is provided as a secure SaaS (Software as a Service) console hosted and maintained by Ready Cheap Cloud. You are responsible for configuring the agent correctly and maintaining security of your monitored servers.

3. Permitted Use

You may use RCC Sentinel to monitor Windows Server instances that you own or that you have explicit written permission from the owner to monitor. Permitted uses include:

Monitoring your own Windows Server VPS instances for performance, security, and availability
Using the dashboard to manage your own server fleet in a business context
Deploying the agent on servers you administrate as part of your professional role with the server owner's authorisation

4. Prohibited Use

You must not use RCC Sentinel to:

Monitor any server or computer system without the owner's explicit permission
Gain unauthorised access to any computer system, network, or data
Conduct surveillance of individuals without their knowledge or consent
Violate any applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works intended to circumvent API key authentication
Use the platform to facilitate cyberattacks, distributed denial of service attacks, or any other malicious activity
Resell or redistribute the platform as a standalone commercial product without prior written agreement with Ready Cheap Cloud

5. Account Registration and Security

To use the dashboard, you must register an account with a valid email address and a password. You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
All activity that occurs under your account
Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account

You must not share your dashboard account credentials with others who are not authorised to access the systems being monitored. Each administrator should have their own individual account.

6. Agent Installation Consent

By running the agent installer on a Windows Server, you confirm that:

You are the owner of the server or have documented authorisation from the owner to install monitoring software
You understand that the agent will transmit system metric data (CPU, RAM, disk, network connections, process list) to the central server configured in the agent's config file
You have reviewed the agent script (monitor_agent.ps1) and accept its operation on your system

7. Intellectual Property

The RCC Sentinel agent scripts (PowerShell), installer, and uninstaller are made available for use under the terms described herein. You may read, audit, and modify the agent scripts for your own use. You may not redistribute modified versions as "RCC Sentinel" or claim them as an original product without prior agreement.

The web dashboard application, design, and documentation are proprietary to Ready Cheap Cloud. You may not copy or redistribute these materials without written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

RCC Sentinel is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

The platform will meet your specific requirements
The platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or bug-free
Metric data collected by the agent will be 100% accurate in all circumstances
Email alerts will be delivered within a specific time frame or at all

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ready Cheap Cloud shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use RCC Sentinel, including but not limited to: loss of data, loss of profits, server downtime, or security incidents. This applies regardless of whether we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the service is to discontinue use of the platform.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will indicate the date of the most recent update at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to Ready Cheap Cloud's place of operation, without regard to conflict of law principles.
